Pre- MEAC accredited, apprenticeship-based program preparing students for California licensure and/or NARM Certification. On-site learning occurs in San Francisco, at-a-distance course work (Heart and Hands Midwifery Intensives and Study Group Modules) allows students to train in their own community. With Woman Workshops are still the only way that many women in the Midwest can receive training in beginning midwifery and the clinical skills needed to be a valuable member of any birth team. Doulas, childbirth educators, apprentices and even advanced practitioners have found these economical classes to be an excellent way of focusing their goals in the childbirth field. For the new year, we are going to offer the following beginning classes, and even some advanced training opportunities!
